Cookie Policy
Last updated 29 September 2026
This page explains what the Huddle website stores in your browser, what each item is for, and how you stay in control. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act): anything that isn’t strictly needed to run the site stays off until you say yes.
1. The short version
- Essential items keep the site secure and remember your cookie choice.
- Advertising measurement cookies (Google Ads) are off by default and only switch on if you accept.
- We never sell your data and we don’t build advertising profiles of you.
- You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: .
3. What we use
- Strictly necessary (always on). Security and infrastructure cookies set by our hosting and protection providers (Vercel and Cloudflare), for example to block bots and abuse, plus an item in local storage called
ember-consentthat remembers your cookie choice. It never leaves your device. These don’t need consent because the site can’t work safely without them. - Advertising measurement (only with consent). Google Ads cookies (such as
_gcl_au) that tell us when one of our ads led to a visit or a waitlist signup. They help us spend less on ads that don’t work. We never send your email or name to Google. - Anonymous site statistics (no cookies). Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure load speed without cookies and without identifying you or following you across other sites.
4. Your consent
On your first visit we show a notice with equal “Accept” and “Reject” options and a way to choose category by category. Until you choose, Google’s tag runs in its “denied” mode and sets no advertising cookies. Your choice is stored for this browser only. If our practices change in a way that needs fresh consent, we’ll ask you again.
To withdraw consent, open and choose “Reject all”. Withdrawal stops further collection straight away; it doesn’t affect anything lawfully done before. You can also clear cookies from your browser settings at any time.
5. Your rights under the DPDP Act
As a Data Principal you have the right to access a summary of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to nominate someone to exercise your rights, and to have your grievances addressed. Details, including our Grievance Officer, are in our Privacy Policy. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
6. How long things last
Your consent choice stays until you change it or clear your browser storage. Google Ads measurement cookies last up to 90 days. Security cookies typically expire within a day.
7. What about the Huddle app?
This policy is about the website. What the Huddle mobile app collects and how it’s used is explained in our Privacy Policy.
